Pigeon Shooting Packages
Spring pigeon shooting is over winter oil seed rape and spring drillings of barley and oats
All decoying equipment is supplied. Shooting is on private farmland which SAC Shooting has leased the shooting rights of. Hunters are requested to respect the property of the farmer and SAC Shooting.
As with any wild bird, there can be no guarantee given as to the number of birds shot. The question as to when is the best time to shoot pigeons. The answer really is any time in season. Spring can be exciting, but is more weather dependant. If it has been a bad summer and autumn, summer harvest may be late. If it has been a bad winter, spring sowings may be late.
Pigeon Shooting For Ladies
Having had ladies teams for the last couple of years taking part in wildfowling, we are now spreading our wings into wood pigeon and deer stalking trips for all ladies. This is not just a man’s sport, it is for all!
- Beginners and experienced hunters are all welcome.
- Hide building and skills trips, plucking and preparing the quarry harvested, to which all is for the hunter to take home.
- Accommodation is set in a beautiful setting as well as a fantastic restaurant in the hotel.
- Dogs are welcome and kennels are available.

- Accommodation can be booked by clients at Saplinbrae Hotel and Lodges for 3 to 6 day trips
